پاو

पाव, पाओ, pā`o[S. पाद], s.m. Fourth part, quarter; the fourth part of a ser, a weight of about half a pound;—pā`o ānā, s.m. One fourth of an anna, one pice:—pā`o bhar, adj. A ser; about a ser:—pā`o-takī, pā`o-ṭakī, s.f. The fee of a qānungoallowed by Government at the rate of four annas per hundred rupees on the net revenue of each district, to defray the expenses of the establishment:—pā`o-ćakkar, s.m. The fourth part of a circle, a quadrant:—pā`o roṭī, s.f. A loaf of bread madein the European way, and weighing a pā`oor quarter of a ser, i.e. about half a pound.
