पाषण्ड pāshanḍ, vulg. pākhanḍ, s.m. Heresy, heterodoxy, false doctrine; blasphemy, wickedness; deceit in religious matters, hypocrisy, dissimulation, pretence, disguise;—heretic, etc.=pāshanḍī, q.v.:—pākhanḍphailānā, pākhand karnā, pākhand maćānā, v.n. To practise dissimulation, to play the hypocrite, to feign, pretend.
