वैंणव vaishṇav, adj. & s.m. (f. -ī), Relating or belonging to Vishṇu; worshipping Vishṇu;—a worshipper or follower of Vishṇu; name of one of the three great divisions of modern Hindūsects (the other two being the Śaivas and Śaktas):—vaishṇavottar (˚va+ut˚), s.m. Lands granted rent-free to the worshippers of Vishṇu (esp. to those of the mendicant orders).
