वेद veda, vulg. ved, bed, s.m. Knowing, knowledge, science, learning; 'the true knowledge,' divine knowledge; the sacred scriptures of the Hindūs, etc. (see bed):—vedābhyās (˚da+abh˚), s.m. Study of the Veda;—the repetition of the mystical syllable Om:—vedārth (˚da+ar˚), s.m. The meaning or sense of the Veda:—vedāsanmat (˚da+as˚), adj.
