हर har[Prk. हरो; S. हरः, rt. ǿ], adj. Bringing, conveying, carrying; taking, seizing; captivating; taking away, removing; depriving (of);—dividing;—s.m. Seizer;—a name of Mahādev or Śiva; and of Agni;—a rogue;—a wag;—an ass;—(in Arith.) a divisor; the denominator (of a fraction);—division:—hargiri, s.m. 'Har's mountain,' an epithet of mount Kailās (the paradise of Śiva):—har-gaurī, s.f. One of the forms of Mahādev and Pārvati conjoined:—har-lok, s.m.
