हिरण hariṇ, हिरन harin, हरण haraṇ, हरनharan, िहरण hiraṇ, or िहरन hiran[Prk. हिरणो; S. हिरणः], s.m. (f. -ī), A deer; an antelope; a hart, a buck; a stag:—hariṇākshī(˚na+ak˚), s.f. A gazelle-eyed damsel:—hiran-khurī, s.f. A kind of creeping herb which grows in the rainy season, Convolvulus sphœrocephalus (the leaf of which resembles an antelope's hoof):—hariṇ-loćanī, or hariṇ-nayanī, s.f.=hariṇākshī, q.v.:—hiraṇho-jānā, 'To become as a deer'; to flee, to take to flight.
