नेवर newar, (dialec.) नेउर ne`ur, or न्यौर nyaur[Prk. नेउरं; S. नूपुरं;—or Prk. नेवडी; S. म+नेर+ई], s.f. The ankle or pastern-joint (of a horse);—a sore on the pastern-joint (esp. that caused by cutting in going);—(dialec.) the sock put on to prevent a horse's cutting his pasternjoints:—newar lagnā(-ko), To cut the pasternjoints in running (a horse).
