नूपुर nūpur[S. नूपुरं], s.m. & f. A kind of tinkling ornament for the ankles and toes (it consists of a hollowed ring, about a finger and a half in breadth, containing tiny bells, or bits of copper or iron of the size of a vetch, which cause it to tinkle):—nūpur-vān, adj. & s.m. Adorned (or a person adorned) with a tinkling anklet, etc.
