नन्द nand[Prk. नंदा; S. नन्दा], = H نند ननद nanad[Prk. नणंदा; S. ननान्दा], s.f. A husband's sister, sister-in-law:—nand-kābhā`ī, s.m. 'Sister-in-law's brother, i.e. husband (an Indian woman shrinks from the use of the word 'husband,' whether in addressing or speaking of her partner; similar to nand-kābhā`ī, is the phrase Mohan-kābāp, 'the father of (my boy) Mohan,' i.e. 'my husband').
