naqṣ, vulg. nuqṣ(inf. n. of نقص 'to diminish,' etc.), s.m. Defect; deficiency; diminution, decrease, wane; detriment, damage; blemish, flaw, unsoundness, weakness (as in a title, etc.); injury, harm, mischief (i.q. nuqṣān);—naqṣ-ě-badr, s.m.
