niṣf (inf. n. of نصف 'to halve,' etc.), s.m. The half;—adj. Half; semi-;—middleaged; of middle stature (a man):—niṣf-taḥṣīl, Half the collections:—niṣf-dā`ira, s.m. A semicircle:—niṣf-rīt, s.f. Land paying half the customary (Govt.) revenue:—niṣf-qut̤r, s.m. Radius (of a circle):—niṣf karnā(-kā), To bisect; to halve:—niṣfu`n-nahār, s.m. Mid-day, noon;—the meridian;—adv.
