naḵẖḵẖās, vulg. naḵẖās (intens. n. of نخس 'to drive, spur, goad,' etc.), s.m. (orig.) 'A seller of slaves or cattle taken in plunder'; (in Urdū) a slave-mart; horse-mart; cattlemarket;—a tax levied (in some of the Native States) on the sale of horses and cattle:—naḵẖās-par bhejnā, To send to the mart, to expose for public sale.
