naḥr (inf. n. of نحر 'to hurt the throat,' etc.), s.m. Cutting the throat, slaughtering (cattle); sacrificing, sacrifice:—yaumu`n-naḥr, s.m. The day of sacrifice, being the tenth of the month zu`l-ḥijja (when the pilgrims assemble at Mecca).
