मैनाक maināka, vulg. maināk; and H. मैंनाक maiṅnāk (fr. menā), s.m. Name of a mountain (son of Hima-vat by Menā, and said to have alone retained his wings when Indra clipped those of the other mountains: according to some this mountain was situated between the southern point of the Indian peninsula and Lankā);—name of a Daitya or demon.
