िमयां miyāṅ, or मीयां mīyāṅ[Prk. िमअओ, िमƣओ; S. िमऽ+कः], s.m. An address expressive of kindness, or respect; Sir! good Sir! good man; master; husband; lord; father; a title by which eunuchs are addressed;—(in the hill-districts) title of the sons of Rājpūt princes;—an evil spirit:—miyāṅ-ādmī, s.m. A good-natured man;—a respectable person, a gentleman:—miyāṅ-jī, s.m. A schoolmaster; the respected master (esp. schoolmaster);—a gobetween (i.q. bhaṛwā):—miyāṅ-jī-garī, s.f. The profession of schoolmaster; teaching.
