मूठ mūṭh[Prk. मुट्ठी; S. मुिƴः], s.f. The closed hand, fist;—handful;—handle (of a weapon, etc.); hilt (of a sword);—a kind of game (cf. nakhā-mūṭh);—a kind of spell or sorcery (which causes death);—first sowing (for good luck):—mūṭh ćalānā(-par), To cast a spell (over), to charm:—mūṭh-kīmūṭh, Whole handfuls;—handful after handful, repeated handfuls:—mūṭh mārnā(-par), To grasp or catch (anything) in the fist, to clutch.
