muwāfaqat, vulg. mu`āfqat, or māfqat (for A. موافقة , inf. n. of وافق 'to be conformable (to),' etc., iii of وفق 'to find (a thing) in accordance (with),' etc.), s.f. Conformity, agreement,accordance, accord; concordance, concord; consent, or universal consent, unanimity; correspondence; similarity; fitness; analogy; affinity; congeniality; sympathy, friendliness, friendship; propitiousness:—muwāfaqat rakhnā(-se, or -ke sāth), To entertain friendly feeling (for); to be at accord (with); to agree (with); to suit, fit, become:—muwāfaqat karnā(-ke sāth), To conform (to), comply (with), close in (with); to enter into friendship (with);—to bring about reconciliation, to reconcile, to conciliate anew:—muwāfaqat khānā(-ke sāth), To agree (with), etc. (=muwāfaqat rakhnā).
