मिण maṇi, s.m. (occas. f.), or मणी manī, s.f., or मनी manī, s.m. & f. [S. मिणःand मिणका, and मिणकः], A precious stone, gem, jewel, pearl;—a bead or other globular ornament;—the fleshy excrescences on the neck of a goat;—the wrist;—a water-pot:—maṇi-ākār, adj. Of the form or fashion of a jewel, or pearl, etc.; gem-like:—manī-thanī(S. मिणकः+ःथिनकः), s.m. A certain blemish on horses, viz. globular formations of flesh on the neck or shoulder:—maṇi-jālā, s.f.
