mu’aiyan (pass. part. of عیّن 'to appoint, prescribe (for); to assign (to),' etc., ii of عان (for عین ) 'to raise the eyes (to),' etc.), part. adj. Appointed, prescribed, specified, assigned; fixed, established, determined, settled; ascertained; declared, certified;—s.m. (in Geom.), A rhombus:—mu’aiyan karnā, v.t. To appoint, etc.;—to assume, to take, to fix on (as):—mu’aiyan honā, v.n. To be appointed, etc.:—waqt-ě-mu’aiyan, s.m. Appointed time.
