A kind of poem composed of rhyming verses (after the manner of the g̠azal), each hemistich of which is followed by some additionalwords in prose, which may also rhyme (e.g. Sun Soz! ‘abas̤dekhke, ḥairān hogā, Khūbān-kājamāl; Dil zulf-meṅuljhegā, pareshān hogā, Mat le yěh wabāl: Yěh ćāl burīhai, tujh-se nibhne-kīnahīṅ, Á mān kahā; Kyāhaṅstāhai? tūbahut pashemān hogā, Mat dāṅt nikāl.—Saudā.The merit of these poems is supposed to consist in the fact that it is possible to read them with or without the short additional verses, such as Khūbān-kājamāl, etc. in the above specimen).
