murawwaj, vulg. murauwaj (pass. part. of روج 'to make (a commodity) saleable; to make (money) current,' etc., ii of راج (for روج ), 'to be saleable,' etc.), part. adj. Selling readily or easily, saleable; current, in general use, usual, customary:—murawwaj karnā, v.t. To make current, give currency to; to spread (syn. rawāj denā; jārīkarnā):—murawwaj honā, v.n. To be or become current; to be in force; to become prevalent, to prevail.
