markaz (n. of place fr. ركز 'to stick, or fix' (into)), s.m. A fixed station; a centre; centre (of a circle);—upper stroke (of the letters kāfand gāf):—markaz-ě-s̤iql, s.m. Centre of gravity:—markaz qā`im karnā, v.t. To assume (a point) to be the centre (of a circle), to take (a point) as the centre:—quwwat-ě-mutanaffiru`lmarkaz, s.f. Centrifugal force.
