muraṣṣa’(pass. part. of رصّع 'to set, fix, or put together' (jewels, etc.), ii of رصع 'to stick; to be near together,' etc.), part. Set or studded (with jewels or precious stones, etc.), adorned (with jewels, etc., as a crown, or a sword, etc.); covered (with gold);—s.m. Cloth or any texture adorned with jewels, etc.:—muraṣṣa-kār, s.m. One who works or sets (a crown, or a garment or cloth) with gold and precious stones; a stone-setter; a lapidary (syn. jaṛiyā):—muraṣṣa-kārī, s.f. The act or the business of setting or studding with jewels, etc.; stone-setting (syn. jaṛat).
