लहरा lahrā[lahar, q.v.+Prk. अओ=S. अ+कः], s.m. A quaver, shake, trill (in music);—a trilling lay, a lively air or tune;—(dialec.) a skirt (syn. lahangā):—lahrā ūṛānā, or lahrābajānā, To play a lively tune;—to give (one) a shoe-beating:—lahrālagānā, To raise visions or hopes (of, -kā, a thing, in, -meṅ, a person), to excite, to tantalize;—to play fast and loose (with); to put off, evade; to avoid performing an agreement.
