िलखा likhā, or िलक्खा likkhā[perf. part. of likhnā, and = Prk. िलिखअओ=िलिखदओ=S. िलिखत+कः, rt. िलख् ], part. adj. (f. -ī), &s.m. Written, etc.; what has been (or is) written; a writing, written document; decree (of fate); fate, destiny, predestination:—likhā-paṛhā, adj. & s.m. (f. -ī), Read, lettered, educated;—one who can read and write, an educated person:—likhā-paṛhī, or likhā-paṛī, s.f. Reading and writing:—likhāpūrākarnā(apnā), To fulfil (one's) destiny; to suffer what fate has ordained; to pass (one's) days in hardship:—likhīfalāne-kī, (A bill) drawn by so-and-so:—likhīfalāne-ke ūpar, (A bill) drawn upon so-and-so.
