लसना lasnā, or िलसना lisnā[las˚= Prk. लस(इ)=S. लस(ित), rt. लस् ], v.n. To shine, to look bright or beautiful;—to be becoming (to), to become, befit;—to be or become viscous, or glutinous, or sticky; to stick (to); to fit tight or well (as a cap, etc.); to be tenacious or stiff (as soil); to be moist; to be smeared or plastered (with):—las-jānā, v.n. intens. of and=lasnā(the form lisnāappears to differ from lasnāin being used to express the idea of 'viscosity,' etc. only; cf. lisauṛā).
