खपना khapnā[khap˚= Prk. खप्प(इ)=S. क्षप्य(ते), fr. क्षप् , caus. of िक्ष], v.n. To be destroyed, be wiped out, be disposed of, be killed or slain; to be made away with, to be swallowed up; to be consumed; to be expended, to be used, to be exhausted; to be lost (in, -meṅ); to be absorbed (by, -meṅ), to be dried up;—to obtain a vent or market, to find sale, to go off, to sell;—to be fitted (into); to fit or go (into); to enter, penetrate (into, -meṅ); to be mixed up (with, -meṅ); to mix (with), join or unite (with); to remain;—s.m. A company (of travellers, etc.); a crowd:—khap-jānā, v.n. intens. of and=khapnā.
