कठरी kaṭhrī, s.f. (dim.)[S. काƵ+र+कःand इका;—or=kaṭhgharā, q.v.], A tub, trough; a wooden platter or tray;—(kaṭhrī) the horizontal beam to which the bullocks are attached in a sugar-mill, etc. (=kaṭṭarī);—(kaṭhrā) a buffalo-calf; a young buffalo-bull (prob. so called from the log of wood attached to his neck).
