कटा kaṭā, or कट्टा kaṭṭā[S. कतर् कः, i.e. कृत् +अ+कः;—or i.q. kaṭāo, q.v.], s.m. Cutting up, cutting to pieces; bloodshed, slaughter, general slaughter or massacre:—kaṭā-ćhānī, s.f.
