कोई ko`ī[Prk. कोिव; S. को'िप, for कोअिप], indef. pron. Any, anyone, anybody; someone, somebody; some, a few; a, an; somewhere about, about (e.g. ko`īek baras);—in any degree, at all (=kućh); what? (=kyā, e.g. laṛkīko`īterī'aql mārīga`ī?):—ko`ī-bhī, Anyone, whosoever:—ko`īdam-ko, For a short time, for a moment, etc.:—ko`īdam-meṅ, In a moment, soon, speedily, immediately (these examples show that ko`īis sometimes not inflected in the oblique cases; cf. kaun):—ko`ī-dūsrā, Someone else, some other; anyone else, any other:—ko`ī-sā(fem. -sī), Any one, any (out of a number); certain, some:—ko`ī—ko`ī, One, or someone—another; someothers:—ko`ī-ko`ī(plur.), Some, a few, some few:—ko`ī-nako`ī, Someone or other; some or other:—ko`īnahīṅ, There is nobody, no one; not any:—ko`īho, Be it anyone, whoever it be:—ko`īhai, Is there anyone in attendance? who waits?:—sab ko`ī, Everybody, everyone.
