कुंडिलया kuṇḍaliyā[S. कुण्डल+इका], s.f. A species of stanza in Hindīpoetry (a compound metre of six lines consisting of a dohāfollowed by two kāvyas,—four ćaraṇs of five feet each=24 instants, 6+4+3+6; pause at the eleventh instant of each ćaraṇ; the last caraṇof the dohāmust be repeated in the beginning of the kāvya, and the last two syllables of the kāvya must be the same as the first two of the dohā; it is hence compared to a circle, or to the coil of a snake, the opposite ends of which unite).
