कलसा kalsā= S كلس कलस kalas [kalsā= S. कलस+कः], s.m. A water-pot, pitcher, jar;—a rounded pinnacle or ball (or other similar ornament) on the top of a dome; pinnacle, spire, peak, crest; dome, cupola:—kalsāthāpan karnā, To make an offering of a jar of water to a deity (atwig of each of the following trees, deemed sacred, having been previously placed in it, 1˚the aśvattha or Ficus religiosa; 2˚the baṛor Ficus indica; 3˚the udambar or Ficus glomerata; 4˚the śamīor Mimosa albida; 5˚the āmra or mango-tree).
