kashīda [perf. part. of kashīdan; and = Zend karsta; S. किषर् त], part. adj. & s.m. Drawn, pulled, stretched, lengthened, prolonged, long, extended; contracted, pulled in; borne, endured, suffered, experienced; disturbed (in mind), vexed, displeased; sullen; supercilious;—having drawn; having endured, etc.;—a kind of needlework, embroidery:—kashīda-ḵẖāt̤ir, adj. Disturbed or distracted in mind; displeased, offended:—kashīda-qad, or kashīda-qāmat, adj. Tall of stature:—kashīda kāṛhnā, or kashīda nikālnā(-meṅ?), To trace figures in needlework (on cloth), to embroider.
