का kā[Prk. िकअउं; S. कृतं , perf. part. neut. of कृ'to do,' etc.], postpn. m. (f. kī; obl. & pl. ke), Of; belonging to; concerning; made of, consisting of, etc. (kāis the postpn. of the gen. case in Urdūand Hindī, and, as such, is also frequently used as an adj. termination, e.g. sone-kīghaṛī, 'a gold watch'; kāṭh-kāghoṛā, 'a wooden horse'; in the case of the pronouns of the first and second persons, kātakes the form rā; and in some dialects of Hindī rāis the gen. postpn. of nouns as well as pronouns; while in others lāis found in place of kāand rā; cf. also kar, karā, ker, and kerā, which are rustic forms of kā).
