qitār, vulg. qatār (v.n. fr. قطر 'to tie (camels) so that they follow each other in a line'), s.f. A string (of camels, etc.); a string, line, row, series, order, rank, range, train, etc.:—qatār bāṅdhnā(-kī), To string together; to put or place in a line orrow, or in order; to arrange in a series; to marshal:—qatār-meṅ, adv. In a line, or series; in succession.
