qadīm (v.n. fr. قدم 'to precede,' etc.), adj. & adv. Ancient, old, antiquated, immemorial; archaic;—s.m. An old inhabitant, etc. (=qadīmī):—qadīmu’l-aiyām, s.m. Old times, days of yore;—adj. Ancient of days;—qadīmu’l-aiyām, or qadīmu’l-aiyām-se, or qadīm-se, adv. Of old, from ancient times; from time immemorial; long ago; in olden times, in days of yore.
