farod, or firod[Pārsī frôt; Pehl. frôt; prob. fr. Zend frāor fra= S. ू; cf. Zend pāreñtare], s.m. Descending, descent; alighting, stopping;—the arrival and deposit of goods within certain defined limits;—prep. & adv. Down, below, beneath (=faro):—farod ānā, v.n. To come down, to descend, to alight:—farod-gāh, s.f. Place of alighting; halting-place, camping-ground.
