g̠ūl, vulg. g̠ol, s.m. A kind of goblin or demon; an imaginary sylvan demon of different shapes and colours (supposed to devour men and animals; from this the European loupgarou, or man-wolf, seems to be borrowed):—g̠ūl-ě-biyābānī, s.m. A goblin or demon that haunts woods or deserts.
