g̠ā`ib (act. part. of غیب 'to be or become absent,' etc.), adj. Absent; hidden, concealed, unapparant, invisible; vanished; lost;—s.m. The hidden, the invisible, the future; the Invisible Being, the Deity;—(in Gram.) the third person:—g̠ā`ib-bāz, s.m. A conjurer, necromancer:—g̠ā`ib-g̠ulla, adj. (colloq.) =g̠ā`ib:—g̠ā`ib karnā, v.t. To hide, secrete, stow away, make away with:—g̠ā`ib khelnā, v.n. To play (chess, etc.) without seeing (the board, or one's opponent):—g̠ā`ib honāor hojānā, v.n. To disappear (from sight, naz̤ar-se), to become invisible, to vanish, to make off, etc.
