`āmm, vulg. `ām (act. part. of عمّ 'to be common,' etc.), adj. & s.m. Common, general, universal; public; vulgar, popular; plebeian; ordinary; generally or universally comprehensive (of -se), not restricted, including, inclusive (of);—the vulgar, the common people, the mass:—`ām is-se ki, Including the case in which:—`ām-fahm, adj. Generally intelligible; popular (as a treatise):—`ām-kā, adj. (f. -ī), Of or relating to the public, or to the masses; public:—`ām-log, s.m. pl. The common people, etc. (=`ām):—`ām-meṅ, adv.
