`āshiq, vulg. `āshaq (act. part. of عشق 'to love passionately,' etc.), part. adj. & s.m. Loving passionately, amorous, enamoured, in love;—a passionate lover, a lover, an inamorato:—`āshiq-mizāj, adj.
