शङ्कर śakara, vulg. sakar, s.m. lit.'Causing happiness,' etc.; an epithet of Śiva or Mahādev;—name of a celebrated teacher of the Vedānta philosophy (see śankarāćārya):—śakarābharu(˚ra+ābh˚), s.m.
