िसंघ siṅgh [Prk. िसंघो or िसंहो; S. िसंहः], s.m. A lion;—the sign Leo of the zodiac; a hero, an eminent person; (at the end of compounds) pre-eminent, excellent, distinguished; a Hindūtitle (borne by men of royal or military caste, by Rājpūts, and Sikh soldiers);—the vehicle of the goddess Devī:—siṅgh-āsan, s.m.
