िसला silā= H سل िसल sil [Prk. िसला; S. िशला], s.f. Rock, stone; a slab, flag-stone; a flat stone or slab on which condiments, etc. are ground with a muller;—threshold, doorframe:—sil-baṭṭā, s.m. The slab and muller with which condiments, spices, etc. are ground:—silā-jit, and silā-jīt, corr. salā-jīt (S. śilā-jatu, and śilā-jit), s.m. Storax; stone-lac; red chalk; bitumen; benzoin; mineral coal; a beautiful crystallized foliated gypsum:—silā-ras, s.m. lit. 'Rock-exudation'; storax, etc. (=silā-jit); olibanum; incense; oil of cardamom:—sil-loṛhā, s.m.=sil-baṭṭā, q.v.
