सकना saknā[sak˚= Prk. सक्क(इ)=S. शक्य(ते), pass. (used actively) of rt. शक्], v.n. To be able, can (commonly annexed to the base of a verb, or to an inflected infinitive, to form potentials; e.g. khā-saknā, 'to be able to eat'; jāne-saknā, 'to be able to go').
