rawān, vulg. rawāṅ(=rawā, q.v.), adj. Going, passing, moving, running, current; flowing, fluid, fluent, running or flowing smoothly; quick, brisk, active, sharp, expert, dexterous;—s.m. Text; reading;—adv. Fluently, smoothly; quickly, briskly, etc.:—rawāṅ-dawāṅphirnā, v.n. To go running about, to wander to and fro, to stroll up and down:—rawāṅkarnā, v.t. To set agoing; to make current; to cause to flow, to spill, shed; to supply (=rawākarnā); to send, despatch, forward; to impart briskness to, make active or quick; to sharpen, whet.
