Ʈैत dvait (fr. dvi-tā), s.m. Duality, doubling, the being doubled, duplication; dualism (in Philosophy), the assertion of two principles (as of life and soul, spirit and matter, God and the universe, etc.); doubt; separation:—dvait-vādī, s.m. 'An asserter of dualism,' a philosopher who asserts the two principles or the existence of the soul as separate from the Supreme Being.
