धड़ dhaṛ[Prk. धटं; S. धऽɍ ], s.m. Trunk (of the body), the body; a body, party, side;—(dialec.) side, face; direction;—a kind of drum (sounded in the arena when a wrestler is successful):—dhaṛ-bhā`ī, s.m. One of a party or side, a partisan:—dhaṛ-toṛ, s.m. 'Breaking the back,' a trick in wrestling:—dhaṛ-ṭūṭā, adj. & s.m.
