धुर dhur [S. ीुवः, rt. ीु], s.m. Beginning; limit, end, extremity;—adj. Extreme, remote, far distant:—dhur-ā-dhur, adv.=dhur-se dhur tak:—dhur-pad, s.m. A kind of song (in the Hindīor Braj), the introductory stanza of a poem or song, which is repeated as a kind of burden or chorus:—dhur-sāṅjh, s.f. Dusk, twilight, evening:—dhur-se dhur-tak, adv. From beginning to end, throughout, wholly:—dhur-kīṭūṭnā, v.n. To be doomed from the first, the thread of life to be spun out.
