dahā(fr. dah), s.m. The first ten days of the Moharram (syn. `ashara; `āshūrā);—the models of the tombs of Hasan and Husain, or the model of a building containing the tombs, which are carried about in procession during those ten days. (On the tenth day the tombs are buried, or in some places, thrown into water: the building, if made of cheap materials, shares the same fate; if costly, it is carried back and deposited in the dargāh or Karbalā.)
